Spring
Spring is the perfect season for those who love clear sunny days, crisp in the morning and gradually warmer.
Spring is the perfect season for those who love clear sunny days, and is also the ideal period for boat trips, bicycle tours and hiking on Monte Baldo, from where you can admire the different flowers and breath-taking natural landscapes that characterise the area.
This time of year is preferred by tourists, who can participate in the events organised in different places to promote the best local products, such as Chiaretto Festival in Bardolino, which is held in June, the Traditional Asparagus Festival in Rivoli, and the popular Fish & Chef, which takes place in Malcesine, and during which famous Italian chefs prepare creative dishes using the most typical products of the region.
There are also events celebrating important past events, such as, for example, the re-enactment of the Carica dei Carabinieri di Pastrengo (the Skirmish of Pastrengo, on 30 April 1848), the re-enactment of the Diploma Ottonianum in Lazise (May), and some religious commemorations for which the area has become popular, such as the evocative Via crucis vivente which takes place in Brenzone (at Easter).
