Lake Garda of glacial origin is 346 m deep and, given its conformation, has different types of backdrops, from rich rock formations to the soft sandy bottoms. The lake offers, therefore, countless diving spots along the entire coast.
If on the one hand the lake will fascinate you for its natural wonders, an underwater adventure will be no less: you will discover breathtaking views of rock and canyons, explore the depths with the mysterious historical wrecks and the myriad of perch, pike and burbot, you will dive in an oasis of silence and peace letting the spirit of adventure guide you in the fresh clean waters of the largest lake in Italy.
For spearfishing you need an amateur license: it is allowed only in apnea and only with spear guns, without the help of flashlights, it is prohibited from sunset to sunrise and can not be made within 200 m from ports and 150 m from the beaches. The law requires divers to signal themselves with a buoy equipped with a red flag with a white diagonal stripe or, alternatively, with a red flag with a white diagonal stripe hoisted on the support boat.
The diver, with tanks or freediving, must operate within a radius of 50 m from the buoy or the vessel on which the flag is hoisted. Recognized schools and specialized centers will be able to offer you personalized excursions and all the services connected to them in order to dive in respect of the norms in force and in all safety.
