Summer is definitely the best season of the year: long days, warm temperatures, crystal clear waters in which you can bathe and cool down, and the sunlight keeping you warm until evening.
It is ideal for long-distance hiking tours of Monte Baldo, where you can enjoy the cool breeze and relax in the shade of beautiful beech trees in the area characterised by Mediterranean vegetation, or under larches in the mountainous area.
During this time of year, water sports activities such as sailing, catboat sailing, windsurfing, but also new and original sports such as kitesurfing, wakeboarding and many other activities are very popular in this area, and you won’t have time to get bored.
If, on the other hand, you just want to rest and relax, you can use the many boats available to cross the lake and experience it away from the crowd.
A boat trip gives you the opportunity to admire the stunning views of Lake Garda, and visit the small towns in the area where the boat stops for a break, to learn more about their traditions, history and flavours.
Moreover, most of the events for which the area is known take place in summer, including the Festa del nodo d’amore (the Love Knot Festival) in Valeggio sul Mincio, or the Palio delle Contrade in Garda, which is much appreciated by tourists.
